| OUR PHILOSOPHY Education Through music may sound like just a music course - but it is so much more! If you are involved with adults or children of any age and in any area of learning ( not just music), ETM's innovative program can help! The program's unique approach to learning reflects the natural, joyful learning process of children. Taught and used throughout the world, Education Through Music provides a gateway for education and thoughtful teaching by letting a child's behaviour and stage of learning development take the lead. A PROGRAM FOR LEARNING AND LITERACY Song-experience games create real-life situations for children. They are effortlessly drawn into learning each time they play a song-experience game and practice symbolizing the song and language. The state of mind that this creates fosters a sense of well-being that sets the stage for profound learning in all areas. SUCCESS AND SELF- CONCEPT Education Through Music teaches a child to wait, participate, listen, think, move, time their response, interact with others, organize, strategize, predict, self-monitor and learn compassion and empathy. This is possible because each song-experience game provides a secure and enjoyable situation in which to think and learn. The repetition necessary for learning is motivated by the children themselves as they keep insisting, "Let's do it again!"
